4-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley ▼

We will leave Marrakech in the morning and cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, we’ll stop at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a remarkable fortified village featured in many famous films. Afterward, we’ll visit the film studios in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” From there, we’ll drive through the scenic Valley of Roses and spend the night in a charming hotel in the beautiful Dades Valley.

Day 2

Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert (Erg Chebbi) ▼

We will explore the beautiful Dades Gorges in the morning, then continue to the spectacular Todra Gorges, perfect for a short walk and photos. In the afternoon, we’ll drive toward the Sahara desert and arrive at the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi near Merzouga. Before sunset, we’ll ride camels across the dunes to reach our desert camp. In the evening, enjoy dinner and spend the night under the stars.

Day 3

Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Nkob – Agdz – Ouarzazate ▼

We will wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes, a peaceful and unforgettable moment. After breakfast, we’ll return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4. Then, we’ll begin our journey westward, passing through Rissani, once a thriving caravan town, and continuing through the scenic Berber villages of Alnif and Nkob. By evening, we will arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech ▼

After breakfast, we will begin our drive back to Marrakech, crossing the scenic High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll stop to take in panoramic views and pass through traditional Berber villages. There will also be time to enjoy lunch at a local spot. We’ll arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon or early evening.
