4-Day Desert Tour from Rabat Itinerary
Pick-up in Rabat and travel through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland,” and the cedar forest of Azrou to see monkeys. Overnight in Midelt, nestled between the Middle and High Atlas ranges.
Continue through the dramatic Ziz Valley, passing kasbahs and oases. Arrive in Merzouga by afternoon. Meet your camel guide and ride into the dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch the sunset. Dinner and overnight in a luxury or standard desert camp.
After a desert sunrise and breakfast, travel to the impressive Todra Gorges. Take a walk between the towering canyon walls, then continue toward Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara, known for its movie studios and kasbahs. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka pass. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. Drop-off at your accommodation. End of the tour.
