3-Day Desert Tour from Marrakech to Fes

We’ll begin this 3-day tour from Marrakech to Fes via the Merzouga Desert in the morning. We’ll cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains, known for their breathtaking landscapes and small Berber villages. We’ll drive through the stunning Tizi n’Tichka Pass (elevation 2,260 m), the highest pass in North Africa, before visiting the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Next, we’ll head to Ouarzazate, known as the “Door of the Desert” or “Hollywood of Morocco,” where famous films like Game of Thrones and The Mummy were filmed. We’ll continue our desert journey through the Valley of Roses, then head to our hotel in the Dades Valley for the night.

We will start our 3-day tour from Marrakech to Fes after breakfast and a refreshing shower at the hotel. Our first stop will be the Dades Valley, famous for its stunning views. Then, we’ll hike through Todra Gorge, one of the most spectacular gorges in the world, known for its impressive rock formations.

We’ll continue our journey through El Jorf and Erfoud, heading towards Merzouga. There, we’ll embark on a camel ride into the desert, where we’ll watch a beautiful sunset and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner in a Berber tent. Afterward, we’ll relax under the starry desert sky and take in the peaceful surroundings.

Your camel guide will wake you up early to catch the sunrise. You can climb the sand dunes to enjoy the magnificent view before returning by camel to the lodge for a shower and breakfast. Then, we’ll begin the final day of our 3-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes via the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi. We’ll pass through the Ziz Valley, where we can take in the scenery and snap some photos.

We’ll continue our journey through the Mid-Atlas Mountains and the pine forests of Azrou, where we might spot Barbary apes. After lunch in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” we’ll head to Fes and drop you off at your accommodation.
